Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, you will receive a detailed safari briefing covering your itinerary and what to expect during the adventure. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the exciting journey ahead.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and one of Africa’s largest elephant populations. Enjoy a full-day game drive through diverse landscapes where you may encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, and numerous bird species. In the evening, continue to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Tarangire – Central Serengeti National Park
Travel through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands towards Serengeti National Park. As you enter the endless plains, enjoy your first game drive in one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Depending on the season, you may begin seeing large herds of wildebeest and zebras following their migration route. Dinner and overnight at your safari camp in Central Serengeti.
Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti plains. Your guide will track the Great Wildebeest Migration, taking you to the best wildlife viewing areas based on the season. Watch predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas as they follow the migrating herds. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive.
Day 5: Northern or Southern Serengeti Migration Experience
Today’s safari focuses on the migration hotspot for the season. During the dry season, travel to Northern Serengeti for the dramatic Mara River crossings, where thousands of wildebeest brave crocodile-filled waters. During the green season, visit Southern Serengeti and Ndutu, where thousands of calves are born, attracting numerous predators. Return to your accommodation after an unforgettable day.
Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After a morning game drive, leave Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy spectacular scenery and opportunities to spot more wildlife. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim in time to relax and enjoy panoramic views over the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa and provides an excellent chance to spot the endangered black rhino alongside elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, and flamingos. After lunch, return to Arusha, where the safari concludes or continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
