AfricaTourLinks to Attend Swahili International Tourism Expo in Tanzania
Press Release from AfricaTourLinks
AfricaTourLinks continues its work to bring travellers and African travel providers closer together. The next opportunity is the Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE), taking place from 23–25 October 2026 at the Mlimani City Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam.
“We are participating with a clear purpose: to develop our relationships with companies we are already in contact with and meet new potential partners in safari, accommodation, nature and cultural experiences.”
This is according to Mariam Karume, co-founder of the new platform, which aims to connect people who want to travel with the businesses that can organise their journeys.
“For AfricaTourLinks, personal meetings are an important part of making Africa’s travel opportunities more accessible. Behind every destination and travel proposal are people with experience and local knowledge who can help travellers move from inspiration to practical planning. Our task is to find the best opportunities,” she says.
From Arusha to Dar es Salaam
Participation in the expo follows AfricaTourLinks’ work at KiliFair 2026 in Arusha, where the company met both existing and potential business partners. Discussions covered safaris, beach holidays, cultural experiences, mountain trekking and trips tailored to different interests.
The exhibition provided an opportunity to introduce AfricaTourLinks and discuss potential partnerships with tourism businesses from Tanzania and international markets.

With its participation in Dar es Salaam, the company is continuing these efforts. The goal is to maintain an active dialogue with the tourism industry and build connections that can develop over time.
Strengthening Existing Partnerships
Successful partnerships require ongoing communication. Travel itineraries change, new opportunities emerge, and providers gain experience that can be valuable to future guests.
At the expo, AfricaTourLinks will focus on developing existing partnerships and discussing how destinations and travel offers can be presented more effectively.
For travellers, the difference often lies in the details. How many days are allocated to a safari? Who is the trip best suited for? Which experiences can be combined, and what is included in the price?
The stronger the communication with travel providers, the better the foundation for sharing accurate and relevant information that helps travellers make informed decisions.
New Contacts and More Opportunities
At the same time, AfricaTourLinks will use the expo to establish new connections.
The company aims to expand its network of businesses offering interesting destinations and clearly described travel experiences. These may include safari operators, accommodation providers and local businesses with specialised knowledge of particular areas.
Every new connection is the beginning of a conversation about what the partners can offer each other and how their cooperation can benefit travellers.
The ambition is to build a broader selection of African travel opportunities, from a first safari experience to more comprehensive journeys combining wildlife, culture and coastal stays.
Getting Closer to the People Behind the Experiences
“Personal meetings provide an opportunity to ask questions that go beyond a presentation. How are the trips organised? Which travellers are they best suited for? Where is there room for individual preferences, and which local experiences deserve more attention?”
“For AfricaTourLinks, this knowledge is precisely what makes direct contact with travel providers so valuable. It helps us create more accurate descriptions and explain the differences between trips that may initially appear similar,” says Mariam, adding:
“A safari designed for wildlife photography, for example, may require a different pace from a family holiday. Nature enthusiasts may want more time for birds and landscapes, while other travellers may prefer to combine several destinations.”
An International Meeting Point in Tanzania
The Swahili International Tourism Expo is organised by the Tanzania Tourist Board and brings together tourism industry stakeholders for meetings, presentations and networking.
According to the event’s official website, the organisers anticipate more than 150 exhibitors and participation from over 50 countries. These figures represent the event’s stated expectations rather than a final attendance report.
For AfricaTourLinks, the expo offers an opportunity to meet different parts of the tourism industry in one place and discuss both local and international partnerships.
Practical information is available on the official Swahili International Tourism Expo website.
From Inspiration to Connection
AfricaTourLinks works to make it easier for travellers to explore Africa’s travel opportunities and connect with the providers who can bring their plans to life.
Participation in the Dar es Salaam expo is intended to support this mission. Meetings with new contacts and continued discussions with existing partners will help build knowledge, create relevant connections and improve how travel opportunities are presented.
AfricaTourLinks looks forward to meeting both familiar and new partners at the Swahili International Tourism Expo and continuing discussions on how to help more people discover Africa.
